Commencing in 2020, in response to shareholder feedback, the Talent and Compensation Committee implemented significant changes to the performance-based aspects of our executive compensation, including: Changing the Chair of the Talent and Compensation Committee; Engaging a new independent compensation consultant; Significantly modifying executive retirement benefits; Refreshing the peer group of companies used for comparative purposes; and Implementing a system that increases and decreases key incentive compensation goals to reflect overall industry performance.
