Boston joined the Board in 2012 and was appointed to the role of Chairman in December 2023. Byron has served as the Chief Executive Officer since January 2014, and previously served as the President of Dynex from March 2012 to December 2020, and as Chief/Co-Chief Investment Officer from April 2008 until December 2023. Byron leads the strategic operations that have resulted in long term net gains and significant economic return for investors. Business Leadership: Byron brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and has an extensive background in U.S. real estate finance, asset management/investment banking, and fixed-income capital markets. Byron was successful in building Sunset Financial Resources, a mortgage REIT specializing in high-quality residential and commercial loans and securities, and instrumental in growing Dynex Capital's business after he joined the Company in 2008. Byron leverages this extensive experience and deep understanding of Dynex's growth and strategy to guide the Company's business operations and disciplined investment approach.
