Item 1.04. Mine Safety – Reporting of Shutdowns and Patterns of Violations. On September 4, 2025, Climax Molybdenum Company, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Freeport-McMoRan Inc., received an imminent danger order issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) under Section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977. The order was issued at the Henderson mine in Colorado upon observation of an employee standing on an elevated deck of a haul truck without fall protection. No injuries occurred and the company promptly addressed the incident in good faith cooperation with MSHA. The order was terminated effective September 10, 2025.
