TRUST STRUCTURE The Trust is a grantor trust formed under the laws of the State of New York pursuant to the Depositary Trust Agreement. The Trust holds Australian Dollars and from time to time issues Baskets in exchange for deposits of Australian Dollars and distributes Australian Dollars in connection with redemptions of Baskets. The investment objective of the Trust is for the Shares to reflect the price in USD of the Australian Dollar. Earning income for Shareholders is not the objective of the Trust. Use of proceeds The proceeds received by the Trust from the issuance and sale of Baskets are Australian Dollars. In accordance with the Depositary Trust Agreement, during the life of the Trust these proceeds will only be (1) owned by the Trust and held by the Depository, (2) disbursed or sold as needed to pay the Trusts expenses and (3) distributed to Authorized Participants upon the redemption of Baskets. NYSE Arca symbol FXA CUSIP 46090N103 2 Creation and redemption The Trust creates and redeems the Shares on a continuous basis, but only in Baskets. A Basket is a block of 50,000 Shares. The creation and redemption of Baskets requires the delivery to the Trust or the distribution by the Trust of the amount of Australian Dollars represented by the Baskets being created or redeemed, the amount of which is based on the combined NAV per Share of the number of Shares included in the Baskets being created or redeemed. The amount of Australian Dollars required to create a Basket or to be delivered upon the redemption of a Basket may gradually decrease over time if the Trusts Australian Dollars are withdrawn to pay the Trusts expenses.
