Kewaunee Scientific Corporation (the "Company") is announcing that it will terminate its pension plan effective April 30, 2024 and has transferred approximately $17.7 million of pension obligations through the purchase of group annuity contracts for all remaining liabilities under the pension plan. In connection with the transfer, the Company has contributed approximately $0.3 million in cash to the pension plan, which was intended to fully fund the Company's remaining defined benefit pension liabilities. The pension benefits to which plan participants and their beneficiaries are entitled will not change as a result of the transaction. Plan participants separately will receive additional information regarding the foregoing.
