Item 8.01 Other Events On February 4, 2025, NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE), sold $1 billion principal amount of its 4.85% Debentures, Series due February 4, 2028, $1 billion principal amount of its 5.05% Debentures, Series due March 15, 2030, $750 million principal amount of its 5.30% Debentures, Series due March 15, 2032, $1 billion principal amount of its 5.45% Debentures, Series due March 15, 2035, $750 million principal amount of its 5.90% Debentures, Series due March 15, 2055 (Fixed Rate Debentures) and $500 million of its Floating Rate Debentures, Series due February 4, 2028 (Floating Rate Debentures, and together with the Fixed Rate Debentures, Debentures), all of which are guaranteed by NEE. The Floating Rate Debentures will bear interest at a rate equal to Compounded SOFR (a compounded Secured Overnight Financing Rate as specified in the Floating Rate Debentures) plus 0.80%. The Debentures were registered under the Securities Act of 1933 pursuant to Registration Statement Nos. 333-278184, 333-278184-01 and 333-278184-02.
