("Macy's" or the "Company") announced that the Board of Directors elected Robert Chavez as an independent director, effective April 1, 2025. Mr. Chavez is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Herms Americas, a division of Herms International Socit. Mr. Chavez will participate in Macy's standard non-employee director compensation arrangements described in the proxy statement for Macy's annual meeting of shareholders held on May 17, 2024 under the caption "Further Information Concerning the Board of Directors." The Company also announced that Sara Levinson will not stand for reelection at the Company's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders in accordance with the mandatory retirement age of the Board's Corporate Governance Principles. Ms. Levinson will remain a director until the end of the annual meeting.
