01 Other Events
Item 8.01 Other Events. On November 5, 2025, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio ("PUCO") issued an order ("Order") approving without modification the Stipulation and Recommendation (the "Settlement") that The Dayton Power and Light Company, doing business as AES Ohio ("AES Ohio"), a subsidiary of DPL LLC ("DPL") and The AES Corporation, entered into on August 13, 2025 with various intervening parties and the Staff of the PUCO with respect to AES Ohio's rate review for electric distribution service. The approved Settlement provides for updated base rates for electric distribution service to customers in AES Ohio's service territory. Along with setting updated rates, the approved Settlement: Establishes a revenue requirement of $483,057,887 for AES Ohio's base rates for electric distribution service. Provides for a return on equity of 9.999% and a cost of long-term debt of 4.49% on a rate base of $1,252,367,202, inclusive of certain assets that are currently recovered through the company's existing Distribution Investment Rider and based on a capital structure of 53.87% equity and 46.13% long-term debt. The updated base rates for electric distribution service will be effective in November 2025. AES Ohio's distribution rate review docket, which will include a copy of the approval Order, is available at the website of the PUCO at www.puco.ohio.gov by searching Case No. 24-1009-EL-AIR.
